Original WWII-era U.S. military hatchet made by Plumb, clearly marked “U.S. PLUMB 1945” on the head. Steel head shows honest age, oxidation, wear, and use. Blade edge appears intact with normal wear. Fitted with a later/replacement wood handle, solid for display or light use. A nice WWII military field tool for a U.S. gear, engineer, pioneer, or militaria collection.
