Original WWII-era U.S. military TS-59/APN-1 (XN-1) radar altimeter test set

Original WWII-era U.S. military TS-59/APN-1 (XN-1) radar altimeter test set, used for high-range calibration of AN/APN-1 series equipment. Interior data plate states it was used for high range 4,000 ft calibration and notes an equivalent altitude of 1,826 feet, with transmitter center frequency range marked between 443.2 MC and 446.8 MC.

Unit comes in its original black wrinkle-finish case with stenciled exterior markings and included interconnecting cords/cables. Component list plate identifies the set as including the delay unit, interconnecting cords, T adapter, spare T adapter, and handbook, though exact completeness has not been verified. Shows honest age, paint wear, scuffs, dust, and storage wear. Excellent WWII aviation/radar display piece or restoration/reference item.
