Original WWII German Dachau District Admin Letter-Petroleum Supply Notice-1942
Original WWII German Dachau District Admin Letter-Petroleum Supply Notice-1942
Original World War II German government document issued by the Landrat des Kreises Dachau and dated October 29, 1942. This official correspondence concerns the allocation and advance distribution of petroleum supplies to consumers during the wartime fuel-rationing period.
Addressed to Johann Fischer of Dachau, the letter requests that petroleum stocks already on hand be distributed to consumers in advance of future winter deliveries. The document provides a fascinating glimpse into the bureaucratic administration of Germany’s wartime economy and the challenges of resource management during the conflict.
The piece features official Dachau district government letterhead, period typewritten text, and an original signature from the economic office (Wirtschaftsamt). Documents from government offices in the Dachau district are increasingly difficult to locate and represent important historical artifacts from the German home front during WWII.
Condition: Very good original condition with minor age toning, filing holes, and light handling wear. Reverse is blank.
A desirable and historically significant example of WWII German administrative correspondence from one of the most recognizable districts of wartime Germany.
