Original WWII German NSDAP Party Flag Enamel Stickpin- “Ges.Gesch” Marked

Original WWII-era German NSDAP Party flag stickpin featuring the familiar red Party flag with central white disc and black swastika. This example is particularly desirable because the reverse is period marked “GES. GESCH.”, an abbreviation for Gesetzlich Geschützt (“legally protected”), indicating the design was legally registered/protected.

The badge is constructed in the form of a waving flag with raised silver-colored borders and flagstaff. The obverse features attractive translucent red enamel, allowing the textured metal beneath to remain visible, while the central white and black emblem is sharply defined. Raised folds along the edges give the flag a three-dimensional appearance.

The reverse has a silver-colored finish and retains its original-style long straight stickpin attachment, intended for wear through a lapel, tie, or civilian garment. The attachment point shows the circular mounting hardware clearly on the reverse.

The visible “GES. GESCH.” marking is an important feature and is consistent with markings encountered on period German badges and other protected-design items. No specific manufacturer’s name or RZM number is visible, so we would not attribute this example to a particular maker.

Condition is very good overall, particularly on the obverse. The red enamel remains bright with strong coloration and the central swastika remains crisp. There is expected age-related surface wear, minor enamel wear, oxidation and patina. The long stickpin remains intact. The reverse shows age toning and wear around the attachment point.
