Original WWII U.S. Army M1923 Garand Cartridge Belt- Hinson & Mgf. Co.-Dated 1943

An authentic World War II U.S. Army M1923 dismounted cartridge belt manufactured by Hinson Manufacturing Company and clearly dated 1943. This iconic piece of U.S. field equipment was issued to American soldiers throughout WWII and was designed to carry ammunition for the M1 Garand rifle, while also remaining compatible with the M1903 Springfield.

Constructed from heavy OD3 khaki cotton webbing, this example features the original blackened steel hardware, lift-the-dot style pocket closures, brass eyelets for attaching additional field gear, and the standard M1910 wire buckle. The belt retains all ten ammunition pockets, each intended to hold one M1 Garand en-bloc clip or two 5-round Springfield stripper clips.

The maker’s stamp remains visible and reads:

Many remained in service during the Korean War before eventually being replaced by newer load-bearing equipment.
