P17 Enfield Sporter .30-06 Springfield – Excellent Bore

Classic U.S. Model 1917 Enfield action that has been professionally sporterized into a traditional .30-06 hunting rifle. Chambered in .30-06 Springfield, this rifle retains the famously strong and robust M1917 action while offering a much handier sporting configuration.

The rifle features a nicely finished walnut sporter stock with checkered pistol grip, checkered forearm, contrasting grip cap and a leather sling. The military-style stock and furniture have been replaced/modified as part of the sporting conversion.

Metal condition is very good overall with strong bluing and only normal handling and use marks. The wood is also in great used condition with attractive grain, sharp checkering and no major cracks or damage visible. Most importantly, the bore is excellent, making this an appealing shooter rather than simply an old military-action conversion.

A handsome old-school deer rifle built around one of the strongest American military bolt actions of the First World War era.
