Paul Chen / Hanwei Han Dynasty Chinese Jian Sword – Ornate Brass & Wood – Discontinued

Beautiful Paul Chen / Hanwei Chinese Han-style Jian sword featuring an exceptionally ornate traditional design. This high-quality reproduction features a long polished double-edged blade with central fuller and decorative gold-colored geometric detailing near the guard. The sword is fitted with an elaborately decorated hardwood grip and matching scabbard accented by extensive antiqued-brass furniture, pierced and relief-decorated fittings, suspension hardware and gold-colored tassels.

Manufactured by the renowned Hanwei forge associated with swordsmith Paul Chen, whose production swords have developed a strong following among collectors of functional and historically inspired Asian arms. The original Hanwei factory closed in late 2024, adding some additional interest to discontinued original-production examples. 

Excellent overall condition with only minor evidence of handling/display. Blade remains extremely clean and bright, wood has an attractive finish, decorative fittings are well preserved, and the sword presents exceptionally well.
