Original World War II–era RCA Radiotron military radio tube produced for the United States armed forces. The box is clearly marked “RADIOTRON – U.S. Army / U.S. Navy – RCA Radio Tube” with a contract order reference 657-MSCPD-44 and an acceptance date of July 1944, indicating wartime government procurement.

These tubes were manufactured by RCA (Radio Corporation of America) and supplied under military contracts to support communications equipment used by the Signal Corps, naval radio systems, radar units, and other military electronics during WWII. Vacuum tubes like this were the fundamental electronic components used to amplify radio signals and operate transmitters, receivers, and radar sets before the transistor era.

The classic red-and-black Radiotron military packaging is highly collectible and a great representation of WWII industrial design. Many tubes were stored as spares for field radios, radar sets, and other communications equipment used across the Allied war effort.
