Remington Model 552 Speedmaster semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR, manufactured in 1979.
The Remington 552 Speedmaster is a classic American-made rimfire rifle, well known for its reliability, smooth operation, and distinctive design. Introduced in 1957, the Model 552 became one of Remington’s most recognizable semi-automatic .22 rifles. Its versatile design allows it to accommodate .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle ammunition.
This example is in good used condition with attractive blued metal surfaces and nicely figured wood furniture featuring checkered grip and forearm panels. The rifle shows minor handling marks, light scratches, and typical signs of use consistent with its age. The wood remains attractive, with a glossy finish and no obvious major damage.
The bore is excellent, with strong rifling, and the rifle functions properly. It retains its original-style open sights, tubular magazine, and includes a leather sling.
