Offered here is a very nice Remington Model 742 Woodsmaster semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The 742 Woodsmaster is one of Remington’s classic American sporting rifles and remains popular with hunters and collectors of vintage Remington firearms.

This example is in excellent overall used condition and presents particularly well. It features a blued barrel and receiver with a nicely figured walnut stock and forearm. The wood has attractive fleur-de-lis style checkering and retains a strong original-looking finish, with only light handling and storage marks consistent with careful use. The metal finish is likewise very clean with only minor evidence of use.

The rifle is fitted with a Tasco variable-power scope in mounted rings. The original adjustable rear sight remains present beneath the scope. The bore appears clean and the action is in good overall condition.

An especially nice addition is the included fitted custom hardwood rifle case, lined in green felt, giving the package a classic presentation. The original Remington owner’s manual is also included with the rifle.
