Remington Model 8 semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30 Remington. Designed by John Browning and manufactured by Remington UMC, the Model 8 was one of America’s earliest successful semi-automatic sporting rifles and remains a desirable early 20th-century rifle for collectors and shooters.

This example is marked Remington UMC and Model 8, with matching visible serial number 44901 on the receiver/forearm hardware. The rifle is chambered in .30 Remington and features the classic long-recoil operating system with the distinctive barrel jacket, fixed box magazine, and takedown-style construction.

The rifle shows honest age and handling wear throughout, including thinning blue/brown patina on the metal, scattered scratches, and normal marks in the wood. The stock and forearm appear solid, with attractive aged finish and good overall presentation. A very nice early Remington autoloading sporting rifle with strong collector appeal.
