Remington-Smoot New Model No. 2 .32 Rimfire Antique Revolver – Nickel Finish – Project/Collector Piece

A genuine antique Remington-Smoot New Model No. 2 revolver chambered in .32 Rimfire. These compact late-19th-century Remington pocket revolvers were produced during the black-powder era and are identifiable by the W.S. Smoot patent marking dated October 21, 1873. Comparable No. 2 examples are generally described as five-shot .32 Rimfire revolvers with approximately 2¾-inch barrels. 

This example retains a substantial amount of its aged nickel finish, with extensive honest oxidation, freckling, finish loss, and patina throughout. The cylinder, barrel, frame, ejector assembly, and major components are present. The right grip panel appears largely intact, while a substantial lower section of the left grip is missing, as shown clearly in the photos. The revolver is currently functional mechanically.

A neat Old West-era Remington pocket revolver with plenty of character. This would make a good candidate for an antique firearms collection, period display, or restoration project. A used .32 Rimfire Remington-Smoot example sold for about $400 in March 2026; given the grip damage and heavier finish loss on this one, I’d put a realistic retail ask around $325–$375, with $349 being a good website price.
