Reproduction WWII German Luftwaffe Pilots Badge
Reproduction WWII German Luftwaffe Pilots Badge
Reproduction WWII German Luftwaffe Pilot’s Badge (Flugzeugführerabzeichen), patterned after the qualification badge awarded to trained pilots of the German Luftwaffe during World War II.
The badge features the distinctive Luftwaffe eagle in flight with outstretched wings and a swastika held in its talons. The eagle is positioned within an oval wreath featuring traditional oak and laurel leaf decoration. The contrasting darkened eagle and gold-tone wreath give the badge an attractive appearance for display.
The reverse is fitted with a vertical pin and catch assembly for attachment to a uniform. Construction and reverse details indicate this is a postwar reproduction rather than an original wartime-issued badge. It shows general surface wear, patina, finish loss and casting irregularities consistent with its current condition.
A nice affordable display piece for a WWII German militaria collection, reenactor display, educational collection, or as a representative example of the Luftwaffe Pilot’s Badge without the substantial cost of an authenticated wartime original.
