Savage-Anschutz Model 1415/16 .22 LR Bolt-Action Rifle – Leupold VX-1 3-9x40 Scope

Offered is a Savage-Anschutz Model 1415/16 chambered in .22 Long Rifle, combining the excellent Anschutz action and barrel with Savage Arms importation/branding. These German-made rimfires have a strong reputation for accuracy and quality and make excellent target, small-game, and recreational rifles.

This example is fitted with a very attractive walnut stock featuring pronounced figure through the pistol grip and buttstock. The rifle retains its factory iron sights and is additionally equipped with a Leupold VX-1 3-9x40 variable-power scope in aftermarket rings. The Leupold is a worthwhile addition to the package and pairs nicely with the accuracy potential of the Anschutz.

Mechanically, the rifle is fully functional and has an excellent bore. The exterior metal finish shows considerably more age and use than the bore would suggest, with areas of finish wear, scattered light surface oxidation and some light pitting visible along the barrel/action. Please review the photographs closely for the exact cosmetic condition. The stock remains quite attractive overall with normal handling and use marks.

The rifle is marked “ANSCHUTZ-SAVAGE, MODEL 1415/16, CAL. .22 LONG RIFLE.” It retains the detachable magazine, factory sights, and is currently set up with the Leupold optic.

A nice opportunity to pick up a quality German-made Anschutz rimfire without paying a premium for collector-grade cosmetics. The excellent bore and Leupold glass make this one particularly appealing as a shooter.

Condition: Good used exterior condition; light pitting/surface rust and finish wear. Excellent bore and fully functional.
