Savage Model 99 .300 Savage – 1949 Manufacture – 24” Barrel – Williams Peep Sight – Excellent Vintage Condition
A particularly clean postwar Savage Model 99 chambered in .300 Savage, manufactured in 1949. This rifle is in excellent used condition for its age and shows much better preservation than most Model 99s encountered from this period.
The metal retains strong original bluing throughout with only light handling and age-related wear. The walnut stock and forearm are equally impressive, displaying attractive grain, sharp checkering, and only minor marks consistent with careful field use. The lever still shows visible remnants of its original case coloring, a very desirable detail on an early Model 99.
This rifle is fitted with a 24-inch barrel and a quality Williams receiver-mounted peep sight, giving it a classic hunting-rifle configuration while preserving the clean lines that made the Model 99 famous.
