Siamese Mauser Custom Conversion .45-70 Government – Tasco Scope

Custom sporter rifle built on the strong Siamese Mauser bolt-action receiver and converted to .45-70 Government. These Siamese Mauser actions became well known as the basis for .45-70 bolt-action conversions because their design could accommodate the large rimmed cartridge.

This example features a sporterized walnut stock with contrasting grip-cap and buttplate spacers, blued barrel, turned-down bolt handle, scope mounts, Tasco variable-power scope, and leather sling. Barrel is clearly marked “45-70.” Overall in good used condition with normal handling and finish wear consistent with an older custom hunting rifle. A neat and increasingly uncommon example of the classic Siamese Mauser .45-70 conversion.
