Original U.S. Army Signal Corps Inverter Unit manufactured by The Deland Electric Co., Dayton, Ohio. This aircraft power conversion unit was designed to provide AC power for military radio and electronic equipment from a DC aircraft electrical system. The assembly remains largely intact with its original inverter, control components, transformer, wiring, and mounting frame exposed, making it an excellent restoration candidate or display piece. Features original Signal Corps data plate and wartime construction with visible internal components.
