Soviet PN-3 Night Vision Optical Device – Cold War Era – Working – With Case & Manual
Soviet PN-3 Night Vision Optical Device – Cold War Era – Working – With Case & Manual
Offered here is an original Soviet PN-3 Night Vision Optical Device, a Cold War–era handheld infrared night observation unit developed for military and security use in total darkness.
The PN-3 uses an electro-optical image intensifier system with built-in infrared illumination, allowing the user to observe objects in complete darkness where no ambient light is present. These units were commonly used by Soviet military forces, border guards, and security personnel during the Cold War period.
This example remains in excellent physical condition and has been tested and confirmed to power on and produce a visible night vision image. When activated, the device displays the characteristic green phosphor viewing screen typical of early generation night vision equipment.
Included with the unit is the original carrying case and instruction manual, adding to the completeness and collectibility of the set.
Early Soviet night vision equipment like the PN-3 is becoming increasingly collectible as Cold War technology gains popularity among militaria and optics collectors.
