Spanish-Made .50 Caliber Percussion Black Powder Rifle – Hawken/Plains Style

Spanish-manufactured .50 caliber percussion muzzleloading rifle in the traditional Hawken/plains-rifle style. This example features an octagonal barrel, percussion lock, double-set triggers, brass trigger guard, brass patch box and brass furniture, wooden ramrod, adjustable rear sight and full-length hardwood stock. The only manufacturer/origin marking located is “SPAIN” on the barrel, so the exact maker is unknown.

The rifle is in very good used condition overall. The wood remains attractive with only scattered handling and storage marks. Metal finish is also well preserved, and the color case-style finish on the lock plate retains strong coloration. Brass furniture has developed light natural toning. Overall, a very attractive traditional-style .50 caliber muzzleloader that displays particularly well.
