Springfield Armory Model 1894 Krag-Jørgensen .30-40 Krag – Antique U.S. Military Rifle

Original U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1894 Krag-Jørgensen bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-40 Krag. A very attractive example of one of the most recognizable American military rifles of the late 19th century.

This rifle remains in excellent condition for its age, with an attractive aged finish and strong overall presentation. The full-length walnut military stock shows normal handling and service wear but remains particularly nice for a rifle of this period. Importantly, the stock retains visible inspection/cartouche markings, including additional acceptance/inspection markings visible around the wrist and underside.

Features the distinctive Krag side-loading magazine system, long military stock and handguard, barrel bands, sling swivels, military sights, and original-style buttplate. Metal surfaces show an even aged patina with scattered finish loss and age-related wear consistent with an original military arm.

The receiver is clearly marked “1894 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” along with the rifle’s serial number. Overall, this is a very appealing early Springfield Krag with considerably more character and originality than the heavily altered or sporterized examples commonly encountered.

Please review all photographs closely for markings, configuration, finish, stock condition, and overall condition. An excellent addition to a U.S. martial arms, Spanish-American War-era, Springfield Armory, or early American military rifle collection.
