Stevens Model 520-30 U.S. Marked Military 12 Gauge Pump Shotgun

U.S.-marked Stevens Model 520-30 pump-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. This is the distinctive John Browning-designed takedown action with its recognizable receiver profile and exposed slide assembly. The receiver is clearly stamped “U.S.” and “MOD. 520-30,” giving this example considerably more collector interest than a standard commercial Model 520. These shotguns saw U.S. military procurement during the WWII era for training, guard and other military uses.

This example is in good used condition for its age with an attractive aged military finish, matching overall appearance and solid-looking walnut furniture. The grooved corn-cob forearm is present, along with the original-style buttstock and period recoil pad. Metal shows normal finish wear, patina and handling marks consistent with an issued military shotgun. A desirable U.S.-marked variation of one of the classic early American pump shotgun designs.
