Original U.S. military field/camp hatchet with forged steel head marked U.S. and maker marked American Fork & Hoe Co. The hatchet has a green-painted curved wooden handle and comes with its khaki canvas belt carrier. These were issued for field utility use, camp work, brush clearing, and general military pioneer/engineer tasks.
