U.S. Military M1945 Enamel Canteen Cup Stove & MM Co. Aluminum Canteen-Korean War Era

This is a nice U.S. military field mess kit component set consisting of an olive drab enameled canteen cup stove/heater paired with an aluminum canteen marked “MM Co.” The green outer piece is the folding field stove/cup assembly designed to nest with the canteen and be used for heating rations or boiling water in the field. These were commonly used from the late WWII period into the Korean War era.

The stove retains its original olive drab finish with integrated latch and vented construction. The interior porcelain/enamel liner is still present, which is a feature collectors like because many examples are chipped or heavily worn. The aluminum canteen shows honest field wear and oxidation consistent with military service use. The cap and strap remain attached.

The “MM Co.” marking on the canteen is associated with one of the wartime/postwar military contractors. Complete matching nested field sets are increasingly desirable to collectors of U.S. field gear, Korean War equipment, and military camping/survival items.
