U.S. Military M24 Carrying Case-Empty-WWII/Korean War Era Optical Equipment Case
U.S. Military M24 Carrying Case-Empty-WWII/Korean War Era Optical Equipment Case
Offered is an original U.S. Military M24 Carrying Case, complete with its original adjustable shoulder strap and Lift-the-Dot closure. Constructed from heavy pressed fiber with an olive drab textured finish and reinforced leather trim, these rugged cases were designed to protect sensitive military optical equipment in the field.
The bottom is factory marked “CASE CARRYING, M24”, confirming the model designation, while the front bears the stamped military identification number D45874. Cases of this style were commonly used from the World War II period through the Korean War era for transporting various optical instruments and associated military equipment.
This example remains in solid, honest field-used condition. The exterior retains much of its original olive drab finish with expected scuffs, paint wear, and handling marks accumulated through military service. The leather trim, shoulder strap, and hardware remain intact, and the Lift-the-Dot closure functions as intended. The interior is clean and empty, making it an excellent display piece or replacement case for a collector seeking an original M24 container.
Whether displayed alongside military optics or used to complete a period equipment grouping, this is an authentic piece of U.S. military field gear.
