U.S. Military Radar/Power Control Case — C-295/APS-20A — NOS Wrapped, 1952
This is a very strong radar/electronics piece. Marked C-295/APS-20A on the control panel/case, with original military-style wrapping/packing material dated April 1952 from Shellmar Products Corporation, marked MIL-B-131-A Class B-40. The panel has multiple aircraft/radar-style connectors, General Electric meters, start/stop buttons, indicator lamps, fuses, AC/DC line voltage meters, DC current meter, and controls for mod fil, mod H.V., mod therm, crystal shutter, mod rectifier, etc.
This appears to be a control/power supply case/panel associated with the AN/APS-20A airborne radar system. The APS-20 was a major post-WWII/early Cold War airborne search radar used in patrol, AEW, and naval aviation applications. The original packing and excellent condition make this much better than a loose stripped panel.
Condition: Excellent stored military surplus condition. Still with original wrapping/packaging remnants and box. Light storage wear, dust, and age marks. Panel appears very complete with meters, knobs, connectors, fuses, switches, and labels intact. Untested and sold as collectible/display/restoration equipment.
