U.S. Model 1895 Lee Navy Bayonet
U.S. Model 1895 Lee Navy Bayonet
Original U.S. Model 1895 Lee Navy bayonet, designed for use with the Winchester-Lee 6mm straight-pull rifle adopted by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps in 1895. This pattern represents one of the earliest American “modern” knife-style bayonets and is historically significant as a forerunner to the shorter combat bayonets that followed in the 20th century.
This example features the classic compact knife configuration with a single-edged spear point blade and a central fuller. Standard production bayonets of this model were manufactured primarily by Remington under contract and typically measure approximately 8.1–8.25 inches in blade length with an overall length around 12.5 inches.
