U.S. Model of 1917 Eddystone .30-06 – WWI Military Rifle – Excellent Bore

Original U.S. Model of 1917 rifle manufactured by Eddystone, chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The M1917 was one of the principal American service rifles of World War I and was produced in enormous numbers by Eddystone, Remington and Winchester.

This example remains in good military-surplus condition with the full-length military stock and handguards, protected front sight, distinctive receiver-mounted aperture rear sight, internal box magazine and sling swivels. The photographs show the receiver correctly marked “U.S. / MODEL OF 1917 / EDDYSTONE” with serial number 122932.

The stock has the expected dents, scratches, handling marks and finish wear from military use and long-term storage. Metal shows finish thinning, patina and scattered wear but presents well for a rifle more than a century old. Most importantly, the bore is great to excellent, which is a significant plus on an M1917 intended to remain shootable as well as collectible.
