U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships Transmitter-Magnesyn Remote Reading Compass

Original U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships Transmitter-Magnesyn Remote Reading Compass unit made by Bendix Aviation Corporation, Eclipse-Pioneer Division, Teterboro, New Jersey. The original box label identifies it as Transmitter, Magnesyn Remote Indicating Compass, marked 26 volts / 400 cycles or 52 volts / 800 cycles, Mark I Mod O, manufacturer’s part no. 10077-1-A, contract NOBS-13503, with a Nov. 25, 1946 inspection/storage label.

The unit remains in its original cardboard shipping/storage box with packing paper and clear Navy/Bendix data plate. The black cylindrical transmitter body displays very well, with the original directional “FORE” marking, Bendix/Eclipse-Pioneer plate, wiring/connector details, and patent label. This is a strong aircraft or naval aviation navigation component with excellent display value, especially being boxed and identified.

Condition: Vintage surplus condition. Untested and sold as-is. Unit appears very clean overall with light storage wear. Box shows age, staining, edge wear, and handling marks. Completeness is based on photos.
