Vintage Drier Element with Drierite Desiccant Bottle & Labeled Box

Vintage moisture-control component lot consisting of a perforated cylindrical metal drier element, a labeled Drierite bottle, paper wrapping, and cardboard box. The box label identifies “Drier Element,” contractor’s drawing number 453-3697, and additional number 359-8778. The exact equipment application and manufacture date have not been confirmed.

The metal cartridge features perforated sides, solid end caps, and a threaded mounting stud. Included bottle bears a vintage W. A. Hammond Drierite Co., Xenia, Ohio label identifying indicating anhydrous calcium sulfate, 8-mesh, with a labeled net weight of 6 ounces. Actual remaining contents and moisture-absorbing effectiveness are unknown.

Condition shows surface discoloration and oxidation to the metal cartridge, aging and staining to the bottle label and wrapping, and considerable wear to the box, including creases, frayed tape, and damaged edges. Offered as a vintage industrial collectible or restoration accessory, with no guarantee of serviceability. Includes everything pictured.

An interesting supporting piece for a vintage electronics, laboratory equipment, or industrial display.
