Vintage Military Mauser-Pattern Bayonet w/ Steel Scabbard-Scabbard #3922

Vintage full-size military Mauser-pattern bayonet complete with steel scabbard. The bayonet features a long spear-point blade with fullers on both sides, steel crossguard, wood grip panels secured by two rivets, and a steel pommel with rifle-mounting hardware.

The blade itself is unnumbered, while the accompanying steel scabbard is marked 3922 near the throat. Because the bayonet has no corresponding serial number, the bayonet and scabbard should be considered a non-matching set.

The blade remains largely bright with scattered scratches, staining, discoloration, and evidence of prior sharpening/use. The wooden grip panels show honest handling wear and age but remain solid. The steel crossguard and pommel have developed an attractive aged patina.

The scabbard retains much of its dark finish and shows surface oxidation, scratches, finish loss, and general service wear consistent with age. The frog stud remains present and intact.
