Vintage Raytheon 2J56 Radar Magnetron with Dust Cover & APG-33 Labeled Board

Vintage Raytheon 2J56 X-band pulse magnetron mounted on a wooden support board bearing a handwritten “APG 33 RADAR” label. The 2J56 is a fixed-frequency microwave tube developed for radar transmitter applications. The board’s notation suggests an association with APG-33 equipment, although that specific connection has not been independently verified. 

Features a substantial black-painted magnet assembly, projecting tube body, mounting hardware, and glass envelope visible through the rear of the board. Includes a distinctive orange Raytheon Manufacturing Co. dust cover marked “REMOVE BEFORE INSTALLING.” Yellow magnet-handling caution lettering remains visible on the housing, along with the 2J56 designation.

Shows scattered paint loss, scratches, worn lettering, and oxidation to exposed metal. The wooden board has surface wear and small edge chips. The glass envelope appears intact in the photographs; vacuum integrity and electrical operation have not been tested. Presence of the dust cover does not establish unused condition.
