Vintage USAF 509th Tactical Fighter Squadron Donald Duck-Unofficial Squadron Patch

Vintage embroidered 509th Tactical Fighter Squadron patch featuring an unusual Donald Duck-style character carrying a tennis racket and club, with “509th TAC FTR SQDN” embroidered along the bottom.

This appears to be an unofficial squadron or morale patch rather than the standard regulation 509th TFS insignia, making it a much more distinctive piece for an Air Force patch collection. The 509th Tactical Fighter Squadron was associated with the U.S. Air Force’s tactical fighter community during the Cold War era.
