Vintage Weston Model 633 Prong Ammeter w/ Original Wood Case
Vintage Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. Model 633 Prong Ammeter, made in Newark, N.J., U.S.A. This is an early clamp-style AC ammeter with a bakelite body, trigger-operated prong/clamp jaws, multi-range selector marked 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, and analog dial face marked Amperes A.C.
Comes housed in its original fitted wooden case marked “Prong Ammeter” with interior cutout and hinged lid. The meter has a great early electrical/instrument look and displays well. Nice piece for an electrician’s tool collection, vintage test equipment display, industrial décor, or electrical history collection.
Condition shows normal age and use wear including scuffs, small finish marks, light oxidation to the jaws, and wear to the wooden case. Dial face is readable and the needle is present. Untested and sold as-is as a collectible vintage instrument.
