Vintage WWII-era Naval Anchor Medal-Style Sweetheart Brooch & Earring set in Case

Attractive vintage naval-themed sweetheart jewelry set, likely dating from the WWII or immediate postwar period. The three-piece set consists of a large medal-style brooch and a matching pair of screw-back earrings.

Each piece features blue-and-white striped grosgrain ribbon with gold-tone nautical anchor ornaments. The elaborate central brooch has a navy-blue ribbon rosette, decorative gold-tone frame and chain, and a pearlescent medallion bearing a raised anchor. The coordinating earrings feature naval-style buttons with suspended anchors.

The brooch is fitted with a horizontal safety clasp, while the earrings retain their period screw-back fittings. The set is housed in a vintage red presentation case marked “Starrett.” The case may be a retailer’s box and is not guaranteed to be original to the jewelry.
