Offered here is an antique W. Moore side-by-side percussion shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. This classic black powder sporting gun features double barrels, exposed hammers, and an attractive walnut stock with period brass escutcheon. The lockplate is marked “W. Moore & Co.”, making it a desirable piece for collectors of 19th-century firearms.

This shotgun remains in solid display condition but is being sold as a restoration or collector piece. The stock has an old crack through the pistol grip and has been reinforced with a period cord wrap. Additionally, only one hammer is currently functional, while the opposite hammer will require repair. The metal retains an aged brown patina with expected wear consistent with its age, and the wood shows honest handling marks accumulated over many decades.
