Weatherby Vanguard Made in Japan .270 Win – Leupold Vari-X III 4.5-14x40

Very nice Japanese-made Weatherby Vanguard bolt-action rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. These earlier Japan-production Vanguards have developed a strong following for their solid Howa-built actions and quality construction.

This example is in excellent used condition and features a high-gloss walnut Monte Carlo stock with contrasting fore-end tip and grip-cap treatment, skip-line style checkering, and Weatherby-style recoil pad. The blued metal finish remains excellent overall with only light signs of handling visible.

Topped with a quality Leupold Vari-X III 4.5-14x40 variable-power scope in traditional rings and bases. The scope is a substantial addition to the package and is well matched to the .270 Winchester for hunting and longer-range use.

A very attractive older Japanese Weatherby package with classic styling and a desirable period Leupold.
