Winchester M1 Carbine – WRA Barrel 11-43– Non-Arsenal Example – No Bayonet Lug
Winchester M1 Carbine – WRA Barrel 11-43– Non-Arsenal Example – No Bayonet Lug
Offered for sale is an original Winchester M1 Carbine, one of the most desirable manufacturers of U.S. WWII carbines. This example features an early configuration and remains a non-arsenal refurbished rifle, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
The carbine is fitted with a Winchester (WRA) marked barrel dated 11-43, placing it in the early production period. It retains the correct early pattern barrel band without bayonet lug, consistent with its wartime configuration.
Key Features:
- Manufacturer: Winchester
- Model: M1 Carbine
- Caliber: .30 Carbine
- Barrel Marking: WRA / 11-43
- Configuration: Early pattern (no bayonet lug)
- Arsenal Status: Not re-arsenaled
Condition:
Overall good, honest used condition. The rifle shows typical service wear with handling marks, light finish wear, and age-appropriate patina. The wood stock is solid overall with expected dings and wear.
There is a small crack in the stock beneath the trigger guard, a fairly common stress area on carbines. It does not appear to affect function, but should be noted for accuracy and transparency.
Metal finish remains present with no signs of heavy refinishing. Mechanically appears complete and correct.
Why This One Matters:
Winchester-produced carbines are among the most collectible of all M1 Carbines, and finding one that has not gone through post-war arsenal rebuild adds a significant premium. The early barrel date and no-lug configuration further enhance collector appeal.
