Winchester Model 70 Black Shadow chambered in the uncommon and increasingly desirable .223 WSSM. This rifle has been upgraded with a handsome laminated Winchester Model 70 Predator-style stock, giving it a much more substantial and attractive appearance than the standard synthetic Black Shadow configuration.

The rifle is in excellent used condition overall. Metal finish is very clean with only minor signs of handling, and the laminated stock is likewise in excellent shape. The original factory Black Shadow synthetic stock is also included, allowing the rifle to be returned to its original configuration.

Included with the rifle are 7 boxes of Winchester factory .223 WSSM ammunition, a significant addition considering the limited availability and cost of factory ammunition for this discontinued cartridge.

The .223 WSSM was designed as an extremely high-velocity varmint cartridge, and Model 70 rifles chambered for it have become increasingly interesting to collectors and shooters as both the rifles and factory ammunition become harder to find.
