Winchester Model 88 .308 Win – 1971 – Weaver See-Through Rings
Winchester Model 88 .308 Win – 1971 – Weaver See-Through Rings
Winchester Model 88 lever-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, manufactured in 1971. The Model 88 is one of Winchester’s most distinctive sporting rifles, combining a lever action with a rotating bolt and detachable box magazine to handle modern high-pressure cartridges.
This example is in great used condition. It retains a strong blued finish with only light handling wear, and the walnut stock and forearm are especially attractive, featuring Winchester’s basket-weave checkering with oak-leaf accents. Wood shows scattered minor handling marks consistent with a well-cared-for hunting rifle. Equipped with factory iron sights, sling and Weaver see-through scope rings; no scope is currently installed. The detachable magazine is present.
The .308 Winchester chambering is one of the most desirable and practical Model 88 configurations, making this a nice combination of collectible Winchester and usable Pennsylvania deer rifle.
