WWII 1944-45 AN/AIA-1A AN/AIA-2 Aircraft Interphone Radio System Manuals Restricted

Original WWII-era U.S. military technical manual group covering AN/AIA-1A Interphone Equipment and the AN/AIA-2 Interphone and Radio System, housed together in a blue reference binder.

Included are at least two related wartime publications:

AN 08-30AIA1-2 – Handbook of Maintenance Instructions for Interphone Equipment AN/AIA-1A, approved 23 January 1945. The manual is marked “RESTRICTED (For Official Use Only)” and notes that it supersedes the earlier 6 March 1944 edition.

Also included is AN 08-30AIA2-2 – Handbook of Maintenance Instructions for AN/AIA-2 Interphone and Radio System, approved 1 September 1944, also prominently marked Restricted – For Official Use Only.

The AN/AIA equipment was designed for military aircraft communications/interphone applications, making these manuals useful references for restorers and collectors of WWII aircraft radio and communications equipment.

The AN/AIA-2 manual displays period inspection/property stamps and other markings. Both publications show expected age and service wear, including toning, edge wear, handling marks and annotations.
