Original WWII-era aircraft electrical inverter, marked Part No. AN 3532-2, manufactured by The Leland Electric Co., Division of American Machine & Foundry Co. Data plate lists 27.5V DC input, 22.8 amps, and 3-phase 115V AC output, 400 cycles, 250 VA.
This type of inverter was used in wartime aircraft electrical/radio systems to convert aircraft DC power into AC power for instruments, radios, and related equipment. Heavy black military finish with original data plate, terminal block, vented cover, mounting brackets, and use data plate. Great display or restoration piece for WWII aviation, radio, or military electronics collectors.
Condition is used surplus with paint loss, scratches, scuffs, oxidation, and age/storage wear. Untested and sold as-is for display, restoration, parts, or collection.
