Original WWII-era U.S. Army Signal Corps Radio Transmitter BC-655-A, marked Target Transmitter 17.5–158 MC. The top data plate identifies it as Radio Transmitter BC-655-A, with order marking 1246-MPD-43. The unit retains its olive-drab metal case, carry handle, latch, tuning chart, circuit diagram plate, power/modulation controls, range selector, and internal tube-era components.

This transmitter appears to be part of wartime radio/radar target or test equipment, with frequency ranges marked across 17.5 to 158 megacycles. It has excellent display and restoration appeal, especially with the exterior frequency chart and internal circuit diagram still present. A strong piece for collectors of WWII Signal Corps radio gear, radar support equipment, target transmitters, early VHF electronics, and military test equipment.

Condition: Vintage military surplus condition. Untested and sold as-is. Shows age, scratches, paint wear, oxidation, dust, and storage marks. Interior components are visible, with cover opened as shown. Completeness and functionality unknown. May require restoration, service, or calibration before use.
