Original WWII-era U.S. Army Signal Corps Radio Transmitter BC-689-A, supplied by RCA Manufacturing Co., Inc., Camden, New Jersey. The data plate shows Order No. 1403-PHILA-42, indicating wartime 1942 contract production.

This is a heavy military radio transmitter unit with original black wrinkle-finish case, side handles, high-voltage warning plate, antenna connection, antenna coupling control, and junction box connector. The front panel retains strong original markings and an excellent RCA/Signal Corps data plate. This would have been part of a larger wartime radio/communications installation and is a strong display or restoration piece.

Condition: Vintage military surplus condition. Untested and sold as-is. Shows age, dust, scratches, scuffs, paint wear, and oxidation to connectors/hardware. High-voltage equipment; should only be serviced or powered by qualified personnel.
