Original WWII-era U.S. Army Signal Corps Test Unit I-176, manufactured by Supreme Instruments Corp. The case data plate shows Order No. 8541-PHILA-44, and the set includes its original military-style olive-drab case, built-in carry handle, test leads, probes, and two War Department technical manuals marked TM 11-2626 Test Unit I-176.
The face panel includes a large Supreme Instruments meter, multiple voltage/amp/ohm ranges, DC and AC/DC settings, zero adjustment, probe storage compartment, selector controls, and front binding posts. This is a very complete WWII Signal Corps test instrument set with strong display and collector value, especially with the manuals included.
Condition: Vintage military surplus condition. Untested and sold as-is. Shows age, dust, scratches, paint wear, oxidation, and storage marks. Meter face and markings present well. Leads/probes and manuals included as shown. May require service or calibration before use.
