Original WWII-era U.S. military R-34/APR-2 receiver, marked for 26 VDC and 80 to 120V / 400 to 2600 cycle AC operation. This was part of the AN/APR-2 radar search/receiving system, used in aircraft electronic surveillance and radar signal detection work.
The unit has a strong black wrinkle-finish military case with side handles, antenna connections, large frequency tuning dial, sweep/record window, power controls, AC/DC fuse points, speed control, trigger switch, phones jack, and indicator/window assembly. The original data plate is present and clearly marked R-34/APR-2, with contract/order information visible.
A desirable WWII aircraft radar/electronic warfare receiver component with excellent display, restoration, or parts value. Good companion piece to APR/APR-4 radar search equipment, IFF gear, and WWII aviation electronics collections.
Condition: Vintage military surplus condition. Untested and sold as-is. Shows age, scratches, paint wear, scuffs, dust, oxidation, and storage marks. One front round glass/window area appears damaged or incomplete as shown. High-voltage/radio equipment; should only be serviced or powered by qualified personnel.
