WWII German Army General Assault Badge-C.E. Juncker Berlin Marked
Original WWII German Army General Assault Badge (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen) manufactured by the renowned firm C.E. Juncker of Berlin. Instituted in 1940, the General Assault Badge was awarded to soldiers who participated in infantry-style combat actions but were not eligible for the Infantry Assault Badge.
This example features the classic oak leaf wreath surrounding a crossed bayonet and stick grenade with rifle and swastika motif. Constructed of wartime zinc, the badge exhibits an attractive dark aged patina with honest wear and finish loss consistent with age and service. The reverse retains its original pin, hinge, and catch assembly and is maker marked “C.E. Juncker Berlin SW.”
A desirable combat award from one of the most respected German wartime makers, suitable for any WWII German militaria collection.
