WWII German Iron Cross, 2nd Class

Original German Iron cross Second Class award, instituted in 1939. Features a magnetic iron core with a silvered frame and correct beaded edge detail. Obverse displays the raised swastika with 1939 date; reverse bears the traditional 1813 date honoring the original founding of the Iron Cross. Suspended from its original black, white, and red ribbed ribbon.
