WWII German Pasewalk Post Office Document-French Foreign Laborer Guy Carre’-Bicycle Permit

Original WWII-era German administrative document issued in Pasewalk, Germany, concerning a French foreign laborer named Guy Carré.

The document is headed “Bescheinigung” (“Certificate” or “Certification”) and states that Carré was employed by the Pasewalk Post Office as a postal worker. Because of a leg disability, he was granted permission to travel by bicycle to his workplace at the Pasewalk railway station.

The document bears two prominent official period ink stamps featuring the German eagle and swastika, including stamps associated with the City of Pasewalk and the Pasewalk Post Office. It also retains handwritten signatures/endorsements from the issuing authorities.

Condition

Good original wartime condition with age toning, fold lines, minor edge wear, and handling consistent with its age. The official stamps and typed lettering remain clearly visible. The reverse retains a faint ink impression from one of the stamps.
