WWII German Third Reich Automobile License Plate Tax Disc / Registration Medallion – “Landrat Diepenhofen”

Offered is a WWII-era German automobile license plate medallion featuring the national eagle above a wreathed swastika and the inscription “Landrat Diepenhofen.” These metal medallions were mounted to vehicle registration plates and served as county or district registration identifiers during the Third Reich period.

The medallion retains much of its original red background coloring with silver-toned lettering and eagle device. The reverse is plain with a center mounting hole, consistent with vehicle plate attachment.

Items of this type are increasingly difficult to locate, particularly with original paint remaining. A desirable addition to collections of WWII German transportation memorabilia, automotive relics, license plate accessories, and Third Reich-era historical artifacts.
