Original World War II Imperial Japanese Type 92 Heavy Machine Gun optical sight. This scarce battlefield optic was designed for use with the famous Japanese Type 92 heavy machine gun and features its distinctive offset construction with integral mounting base.

The sight retains its original black finish with honest wartime wear and handling marks. The internal ranging reticle remains intact and visible when viewed through the optic. The optics are cloudy/hazy from age, resulting in a blurry sight picture, but the reticle markings can still be seen. The brass mounting components remain in place, and the sight appears complete externally.

Original Japanese Type 92 accessories have become increasingly difficult to locate, especially optical components that have survived the war. This example would make an excellent addition to an Imperial Japanese weapons collection, WWII machine gun display, or militaria collection.
